Welcome To Our School
It gives me great pleasure on behalf of all the staff, children, parents and governors to warmly welcome you to our wonderful school.
Beech Hill School is a vibrant and welcoming school. We are committed to providing the best learning experiences possible with the children placed at the centre of everything we do.
At Beech Hill we believe that every child matters. There is a driving determination to ensure that pupils and adults in the school reach their full potential. Our ethos is a simple one: ‘Learning without Limits.’ We pride ourselves on having the highest expectations of all our children and believe that there are no limits on what they can achieve. At the heart of the school is our commitment to work in partnership with parents, carers and the local community to raise aspirations for all and to provide a high quality education for every child.
We strive to provide a curriculum that engages and inspires our children, providing them with rich and memorable experiences alongside lifelong knowledge and skills. We provide wider opportunities for children to develop as independent, confident, successful learners with high aspirations who know how to make a positive contribution to their community and the wider society. There is a high focus on developing children’s moral, spiritual, social and cultural understanding as well as basic skills.
Our extensive grounds and forest school provide a wealth of opportunities for children to discover, explore and extend their natural talents. Here children learn first-hand about the riches of the natural environment whilst developing important life skills such as team work, problem solving and resilience.
Children have just one childhood; our intention is to provide them with inspirational and unforgettable learning experiences to prepare them for the next stage of their lives by the time they leave us.
You can find all the latest information by exploring our website and contact our school office or email [email protected] for any further information you may need. We look forward to welcoming you and your children to our school.

Year 4 have composed, rehearsed and recorded the musical score for their project 'Lights, Camera, Score.' Their ideas have been superb and the pieces of music sound fantastic. They are now rehearsing to perform at the Victoria Theatre alongside the English Chamber Orchestra!
Year 1 have been busy working with Winston Plowes (our poet in residence) on their Nurturing Nurses topic. They read ‘These Are the Hands’ by Michael Rosen and ‘Nurse’ by Winston himself, then created their own class poems thinking about what Y1 hands do everyday and beyond!
Well done to our fabulous choir who attended the competition @HalifaxMinster today. The children had a super time and received high praise on their performance. Thank you very much to the Rotary Club of Halifax for organising this event 🎵
Thank you very much to @ameliab1010 for Trauma Informed Approach training for teachers this afternoon - we learned a lot about how to look after ourselves as well as the children in our classes and look forward to working with Amelia again in the future 🥰
In Y5, we are focusing on #sculpture & using Ancient Greek pottery to do so. We looked at traditional Greek vases & noticed they depicted daily life & told stories! Today, we used mannequins to support us with drawing the human form in various positions 🏺✏️ #Art #AncientGreece
Last Friday we welcomed parents and children to celebrate our Eid Family Coffee Morning. We had lots of activities to enjoy and some special performances from the children. Thank you to everyone who attended - it was lovely to see so many families come together to celebrate 🎉
